Startups are tackling the most pressing and challenging issues of the modern world using innovative processes and cutting-edge technologies. StartSmart SEE, through a three-month program designed exclusively for early-stage technology startups operating in Southeast Europe, helps them grow and responsibly enter the international market. The program provides access to high-level, hands-on workshops, MIT expertise, and guidance from an international network of experienced mentors.

Applications for participation in the new cycle of the program were open until 1 April. The applications were reviewed by an international network of executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and Startsmart SEE members, and 20 innovative start-ups were selected for the program. All are focused on solving important problems in our society that require the use of emerging technologies. Their founding executives come from a wide range of academic and business backgrounds and their innovative technological solutions are in areas such as energy production, energy saving technologies, sustainable consumption, system and software design, etc.
