“Building Greek Startups the MIT Way”
On March 15, at the Eugenides Foundation, MIT Enterprise Forum Greece, in collaboration with the MIT Club of Greece, and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, co-organized the “Building Greek Startups the MIT way” event.
Bill Aulet visited Greece on the occasion of his book’s Greek version presentation “Disciplined Entrepreneurship: 24 Steps to a Successful Startup.” He shared his experience and expertise through an enlightening presentation on how entrepreneurship can be taught.
Over 80 physical and 400 online participants attended the event. Bill’s comments were out of the box; something entrepreneurs should always do! The audience was fascinated by his immediacy and humor!
The Deputy Minister of Development and Investment, Christos Dimas, and the Deputy Minister of Education, Angelos Syrigos, presented the government’s multidimensional political, legislative, and financial initiatives to strengthen the innovative business and modern technologies gradually introduced by the educational system.
A special vote of thanks to Dr Constantine Moros, who has taught Bill Aulet’s book for the last eight years, and Professor Nikolaos Theodorakis, who curated the scientific supervision of the Greek edition of the book.
Regus, our Hospitality Sponsor, hosted a meetup at Spaces, where MITEF Alumni entrepreneurs had the opportunity to meet Bill Aulet and discuss the challenges young startuppers face on their journey to the global market.
As Antigoni Molodanof, the Executive Director of MITEF Greece, quoted:
“We are proud Bill Aulet kindly accepted our invitation and visited our country to participate in this event, making a unique presentation to an audience of over 500 attendees. MITEF Greece supports the Greek technological, entrepreneurial ecosystem by inviting professionals of international recognition from the business, academic, and investment scene to share their valuable knowledge with the startups. In this highly demanding era of significant challenges, which is rapidly changing, we further strengthen our support to committed and disciplined startuppers who make the next step and create their innovative venture. We are proud to contribute to their effort and make their dream come true.”
We hope you enjoyed the event! You can find the recorded video and photos of the event, including the ten participants who won Bill’s book specially signed by him, below.
