Keynote speakers:

David Kantaros

David W. Kantaros serves as Co-Chair for Artificial Intelligence within our Innovative Technology sector and is a member of the Private Equity & Venture Capital and Transactional & Securities Practices. He represents venture capital and private equity funds as well as publicly and privately held corporations in the emerging technology and life science industries. David has lectured on issues relating to representation of venture capital funds and portfolio companies in private equity financings, representing buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions and the structuring of strategic relationships and joint ventures around technology developments. David has been selected for inclusion in the 2005 and 2006 Massachusetts Super Lawyers–Rising Stars® editions for his work in securities and corporate finance. He has also been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© since 2012 in the field of Venture Capital Law.

Kyle Faget

Kyle Faget is a Boston-based partner and a health care and life sciences lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP. Kyle is the Co-Chair of the firm’s Health Care and Life Sciences Practice Groups, and she is a core member of the firm’s telemedicine industry team. Kyle advises investors, academic medical centers, physician practices, and consultants on a range of business, legal and regulatory issues affecting the telemedicine industry. She helps companies build and refine corporate compliance programs, including advising clients on regulatory and compliance matters involving the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDCA), the False Claims Act (FCA), the Anti-Kickback Statute (AKS), the AdvaMed Code and the PhRMA Code. She regularly drafts and negotiates agreements required for the development and commercialization of pharmaceutical and medical device products, including licensing agreements, collaboration agreements, clinical trial agreements, and an array services agreements. Prior to joining the firm, Kyle held in-house positions at pre-commercial and commercial stage companies.

Chris McKenna

Chris McKenna is an intellectual property attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP and is the Office Managing Partner in Boston, Co-Chair of the Electronics practice, and Chair for Cloud Computing Infrastructure and Solutions within Foley’s Innovative Technology sector. Chris focuses his practice on acting as an advisor to technology companies, helping identify, capture, and protect their most important IP. Chris also provides strategic counseling on the development and integration of patent portfolios obtained via merger and acquisition. Outside of portfolio management, Chris also counsels companies on the legal, technical, and business issues of IP in various transactions and agreements, including vendor and contractor agreements, supplier, partner, reseller, and distribution agreements, terms of use, license agreements, master services and solution agreements, and joint development and collaboration agreements. Chris was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the field of Technology Law (2023) and was recognized in IAM Patent 1000 – The World’s Leading Patent Practitioners for his work in patent prosecution in 2020 and 2021. He was also recognized by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business in the practice area of intellectual property (2021-2022).
